Turn Your Worry into Worship
In a world where accumulating “stuff” seems to define success, it’s easy to let our minds be consumed by what we don’t have or what we still need to get. This drive for more, rooted in a spirit of materialism, pulls many into a spiral of worry, stress, and anxiety.
But what if there was a better way? A more freeing way? The Bible offers a clear solution: “Seek first the kingdom of God” (Matthew 6:33). It’s a call to reorder our lives around Him, not because God minds us having things, but because He wants to be first in our hearts. When He’s in that first place, everything else falls into its proper place.
Why Worry Drains Us
Worry drains our strength for today and empties our hope for tomorrow. It’s like running a race with a weight tied to your feet. But worship? Worship lifts that weight. The Bible says God “inhabits the praises of His people”—when we shift our focus to praising Him, we invite His presence and His peace into our lives.
When we replace worry with worship, something amazing happens. As we draw closer to God, He draws closer to us. And in His presence, there is fullness of joy—a joy that nothing in this world can replace.
What Does It Mean to Seek?
Seeking God is not a casual glance; it’s an intentional, determined search. It’s a “thorough search until we reach a binding agreement.” Seeking means learning God’s character, His values, and His principles—and then making them the foundation of our lives.
The more we align our hearts with His, the more we begin to live from the inside out. We live not according to what’s happening around us, but according to who we are in Christ. In Him, we find our true identity.
Living from the Inside Out
When I’m grounded in who God says I am, I become unshakeable. I am His workmanship, shaped by the Master Potter, the God of the universe. I am fearfully and wonderfully made, a vessel filled with His heavenly treasure. I’m rich in spirit, an heir to His kingdom.
To really know me, you’d need to know my Father. His character, values, and principles reside in me. Every day, my mission is to show less of myself and more of Him. I choose to decrease so He can increase in my life. My deepest desire is to reflect Him in everything I do.
So today, I’m letting go of worry and embracing worship. I’m living my life from the inside out, drawing strength from my relationship with God, and letting His love flow through me. When people encounter me, I hope they see His light, His joy, and His peace. This is my one true purpose—to bring glory to my Father.
